BENIN CITY- Following the death of his father and the subsequent funeral ceremonies, the live of an 14 years old, one Glory Omoh (male), according to sources is in grave danger, owing to alleged unabated murder threats from members of the daredevil Reformed Ogboni Fraternity.
Glory an eldest son of Late Pa. Lawrence Omoh, a top ranked members of the Ogboni Fraternity while alive was said to have been approached by hierarchy of the dreaded Reformed Ogboni occult group with the purpose of initiating him into Ogboni group in order to take after his late father’s position.
Consequently, Glory as chosen by the group according to sources privy to the incident was expected to undergo certain fetish rituals, including drinking the water that was used to bath the corpse of his late father, sleep by the graveside of his father for seven days as well as performing other necessary rituals to wrap up the initiation rites.
The urgly development NIGERIAN OBSERVER Crime Correspondent gathered did not go down well with Glory, who vehemently rejected the situation, citing his christian religious background as reasons.
Trouble it was learnt started with the 14 years old Glory who was said to have suffered untold deadly attacks from two suspected members of the Ogboni over failure to join them, just as it was reported that the group vowed to eliminate him since him Glory has refused to join the occultic group.
Hailed from Oke Community in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State, he was into farming with his father before moving to Benin City where he was skilled in carpentry work, Glory was said to have been facing lots of life threatening challenges with the recent development making life more miserable for the orphan.
This is especially now that the occultic group alleged to be currently mounting pressure on Glory’s relations to produce him (Glory), now on the run.
It was learnt that Glory who had ran to Lagos to seek refuge was surprised to learnt that the Ogboni members attempted to attack penultimate weekend in his Lagos hideout as the occult members were aware of Glory’s location.
Sources who spoke on the issue lamented the situation and wondered why should such evil occultic group be allowed in the land, adding that Glory’s life is now on the hands of the merciless Ogboni group.
The people noted that the activities of the group’s during Glory’s late father’s funeral were clear indications of the barbaric nature of the Ogboni members.
They used the opportunity to appeal to all and sundry who might be harbouring Glory Omoh at the moment to kindly ensure his safety, adding that they ( Ogboni members) have vowed to kill Glory anywhere he is found.
The Ogboni group were said to have also vowed to spread their information network towards ensuring strict monitoring of the fleeing Glory’s movement.
Contacted, the police authorities in Edo State while confirming the incident, said no arrest have been made in connection with the matter.
Recall that the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity, a dangerous occultic group whose activities involves human sacrifices has its Edo State Headquarters along Iyaro in Benin City.
