LAGOS – Former Lagos State Editor of the Nigerian Observer Sir Odafe Othihiwa was recently in Lagos honoured by a non-government organization Home of Change Foundation (HOCEF). Othihiwa was honoured along with 10 others, according to the Director of the (HOCEF) Mrs. Celine Anyogu. Others honoured include the former chairman of Oriade, Alhaji Sanusi, Mr. Aaron Ukodia and others.
Sir Odafe Othihiwa was honoured in appreciation of his contribution forwards human capacity building and entrepreneur development in the community. Mr. Solomon Odemwingie former Group News Editor of the Daily Times is seen congratulating Sir Othihiwa on the award.
Veteran journalist, Sir Odafe Othihiwa, was Lagos Editor of the Nigerian Observer in Lagos from 1997 to 1981. He also served as Group General Manager of the Daily Times, African Independent Television (AIT). He was Knighted by the Archbishop of Canterbury Most Rev. (Dr.) Robert Runcie in 1982 while on a pastoral tour of Nigeria.
