The Frenchman was in optimistic mood after his side booked their ticket for the round of 16 and backed the Bianconeri to reach the latter stages of the competition
Paul Pogba is confident Juventus can go far in the Champions League after they reached the knockout stages of the competition by recording a scoreless draw with Atletico Madrid.
The Serie A champions would have clinched top spot in Group A with a win by two goals, but Pogba stressed that making it to the round of 16 was all that mattered for Juve.
“We know that our team can go very far, but we must give even more because the games aren’t easy,” Pogba told reporters.
“Atletico kept it very tight. There was little space between the lines. The draw? It doesn’t matter. The most important thing was going through.
“Atletico are a strong team. We played with great personality against a side that reached last year’s Champions League final.”
Gianluigi Buffon was equally delighted with his side’s progress and stressed that Juventus do not fear any opponent.
“Finishing first or second makes little difference. You’ll need to face the strongest teams sooner or later.
“Atletico are an excellent team. They’ll definitely be one of the front runners in La Liga and the Champions League.
“The situation looked complicated for us after three games, but we did well to turn it around and get through.”
