Faith Works By Love
Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith it is impossible to please the Lord. It means that everything done in the Kingdom must be backed up by faith for it to be acceptable to the Father Great men of God have done exploits because they walked in faith. The sick have been healed, dead raised, bound loosened, and wonders done by people that had strong faith in the never failing power in the name of Jesus.
However, with all the value of faith, it cannot work without love. In Matthew 14:14, the bible says:- And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. The reason Jesus could heal the sick was because he had compassion toward them. Compassion is a product of love. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love, Galatians 5:6. Your faith to minister only produces when there is love in your heart. See Luke 7:11-15, Mark 1:40-42, Matthew 15:32, Mark 6:34.
Holiness Works By Love
Follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord, Hebrews 12:14. Holiness is the criteria for any man to see the Lord. God is holy and cannot behold iniquity. Before Jesus paid the price for man’s redemption from sin, the Priests had to thoroughly cleanse themselves with sin offering before they could approach God in the holy of holies. Any priest that was not properly cleansed before this exercise was struck dead in the presence of the God that cannot behold iniquity. Christ shed His blood so that His blood would wipe all our sins away and make us holy before the Father. This shows the value of holiness.
Yet, as much as God values holiness, it does not work without love. The bible tells us in 1st Peter 4:8- And above all things have fervent charity (love) among yourselves: for charity (love) shall cover the multitude of sins. When love is on ground, judgment is averted. Colossians 3:14- And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness Holiness).
Boldness Works By Love
The most repeated instruction in the bible is “tear not”. We are told in Revelation 21:8-But the fearful…shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Fear can make a person go to hell. The bible, therefore, admonishes boldness for every child of God.
However, as valuable as boldness is, it does not work without love. 1st John 4:17-18- Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment:
because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love cast out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. The only way you can have boldness and banish fear completely from your heart is if love overwhelms your heart. If you are not a lover, there is no way you will not be fearful.
Ministering/Preaching Works By Love
Although we have a mandate to bring the good news of Christ to all creation and minister to the needs of people, our preaching and ministering must be carried out in love. Ephesians 4:15- But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. The truth of God’s word must be done from the platform of love. We must learn from Jesus’ example. His success in ministry was hinged on love. See Hebrews 7:25-26- Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens. Intercession is an act of love. The reason Jesus is able to save is because He is a lover.
Before Christ committed the headship of His Church to Peter, He first had to ascertain that Peter had love for the ministry in his heart. See John 21:15-17- So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. I saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
Paul said in 1st Corinthians 13:l-2- Though I speak with the tongues of men and of an angels, and have not charity l am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. If you are teaching, not by love, you are only exhibiting academic excellence.
JESUS PREACHED AND TAUGHT BY LOVE. Mark 6:34-and Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion, toward them because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
JESUS HEALED BY LOVE. Matthew 14:14- And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them and he healed their sick.
JESUS RAISED THE DEAD BY LOVE. Lukel:11-13-And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said unto her, Weep not.
JESUS CLEANSED LEPERS BY LOVE. Mark 1:40-42-And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
JESUS FED THE HUNGRY BY LOVE, Matthew 15:32- Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
Manifesting Your supernaturality Works By Love
The bible tells us that we are gods (Psalms 82:6). God expects us to manifest His power in character, in power and in prosperity. It brings God joy when we operate like Him on earth.
However, You cannot manifest divinity or your sonship without love. All of creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19). The world is waiting for the children of God to manifest the love of God. The only way we can really manifest the fullness of our supernaturality is if we are grounded in love. See Ephesians 3:14- 17b, 19- For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ …that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.
