BENIN CITY- Fear has continue to envelope the family members of one Pa. Atiti over the safety and whereabouts of their son, Elvis Atiti, who according to the family was last seen on January 25, 2015.

It was learnt that the sudden disappearance of Elvis could not be unconnected with the alleged plan execution by the father of, Miss Precious Kadiri, his girlfriend who Elvis was said to have engaged about five months ago.

Narrating Elvis ordeal to newsmen in Benin City, the Edo State Capital, a family source who simply identified herself as Justina said that trouble started sometimes December 2014, when he Elvis met precious and they became lovers.

According to our source, what seems like a perfect union between Elvis and his lover Precious later turned pains when Precious father, a devoted Muslim rejected the Elvis’ plan to marry his daughter after their engagement.

“This was barely five months after Elvis engaged Precious Kadiri and all pleas by Elvis to Mr. Kadiri to allow him marry his daughter fell on deaf ears as the man constant warned him to stay off precious owing to religious differences.

“We the family members were surprised to learn that Mr. Kadiri’s hired armed men traced Elvis to his house with the intent to lunch terror on him, but he Elvis was not at home as the armed men numbering about five met Precious at Elvis’ house alone.

“They (armed thugs) later left a note behind for Elvis, warning him to stay off precious hence, he Elvis would pay with his life.

“But not satisfied with the warning and angered by Elvis’ refusal to hands up from precious, the hoodlums stormed Elvis’ place of work in a commando-like-style and unleashed terror on him.

“But with the help of some good Samaritans, Elvis was able to escape been assassinated by the daredevil armed men.

“The people, however, vowed to eliminate Elvis wherever they set their eyes on him, a situation that could have made Elvis to disappeared to unknown location for safety, hence, we the family members are now in fear over the safety and whereabouts of our son Elvis Atiti”, the source disclosed.

Why the police are yet to be informed about the ugly incident, our crime Correspondent gathered that Mr. Kadiri, an influencial person in the Nigerian society has connections with security operatives in the country and attempt to report him would be exercise in futility.

Attempt to get comment from the spokesperson to the Edo State Police Command, DSP Bala Momoh, proved abortive as calls and texts messages sent to his cell phone were not answered not reply to.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the whereabouts and safety of Elvis Atiti, remain unknown.
