OWERRI – The Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps in Imo, Dr Abubakar Audi, has vowed to deal with criminals, vandals and hoodlums terrorising the people.
In a statement in Owerri, Audi further warned criminals to desist from the act or leave the state in their own interest, explaining that the command would make the state uninhabitable for them.
“It is a vow and we mean that; we will make Imo uninhabitable for criminals and vandals,” he said.
Audi, who commended the effort of his predecessor, Mr Adamu Soja, urged the people of Imo to be law-abiding to move the state forward.
He assured the people that he would use his wealth of experience in the fight against crime.
Audi, before his posting to Imo, had served in Yobe and Nasarawa states, and was also the Commandant, Procurement at the national headquarters of the corps.
