EWOHIMI – The traditional heads of Ewohimi, Uromi and Ewu in Edo Central Senatorial District have pledged their support for the candidacy of all the All Progressive Congress (APC) standard bearers in this month’s general election.
They expressed their support for the APC hopefuls when the Edo State Deputy Governor, Dr. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu on behalf of the State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole sought royal blessings for the candidates at the palaces of the Onojie of Ewohimi, the Oguromi of Uromi and the Onojie of Ewu before the commencement of rallies in their domains.
Dr. Odubu assured that APC Presidential candidates, General Muhammadu Buhari would remove the ugly toga of Nigeria as a sleeping giant.
He described Gen. Buhari as an upright, transparent and dependable Nigerian who lived above – board when he served the country in various capacities.
The deputy governor also assured the traditional rulers that the senatorial APC candidate, Chief Francis Inegbeneki, and other party candidates, including Gideon Ovbakhan and Onokolease Irabor for the House of Representatives as well as Edughele Igbelokoto, Victor Edoror and Henry Okpamen for the state House of Assembly would toe the line of development as championed by Comrade Oshiomhole,
The Onojie of Ewohimi, HRH Lord Peter Usifoh II who spoke through an interpreter, John Ikekhide, told the deputy governor with gratitude that Ewohimi – Igueben Road project was awarded and completed by Comrade Oshiomhol’s government unlike previous administrations that used it as an electioneering campaign promises which were never fulfilled.
He pledged his support and that of his subjects for the APC in the polls while the Ojuromi of Uromi, HRH Anslem Odaloighe Edenojie II said the traditional institution is solidly behind the party in the up-coming general elections.
He thanked Comrade Oshiomhole over the projects executed in the domain.
The Onojie of Ewu, VOX, HRH, described Comrade Oshiomhole as a man of high integrity who has endowed himself to him and his subjects.
Meanwhile, the APC has taken its message of change to the people of Esan South East, Esan North East and Esan Central local government Area in Edo State.
The State Deputy Governor (Dr.) Pius Egberanmwen Odubu who led the campaign team on behalf of Governor Oshiomhole to the various places said Nigerians need a man of APC presidential flag bearer, General Muhammadu Buhari’s pedigree to fix the country.
Dr. Pius Odubu told the large number of APC supporters that if General Buhari is elected as Nigerian’s president, the country and indeed Nigerians would be the better for it.
He said the track record of the presidential hopeful as Head of State and in other public offices speak volumes for his capability to wage an effective war against corruption, kidnapping insurgency and as well turn around the country’s economic fortune.
