There was a mild drama in Benin City when two homosexuals who were caught making love narrowly escaped being lynched to death
.THE NIGERIAN OBSERVER learnt that they were caught naked, kissing and making love by a mob that pounced on them.
According to our sources, the boys who are students of Western Boys College were identified as Frank and Mike Jacobs who is the son of a devoted catholic leader in the state.
It was gathered that they have been lovers in the boarding house, but nemesis caught up with them while they were on holidays.
“On the 4th of March, 2015, Frank who was sharing apartment with Efe had invited Mike to enable them spend time together as lovers. But unknown to Frank, his house mate who has been suspecting him of being gay, set them up when Mike came to the house.
“Efe pretended that he was going to church that evening. But when Frank and Mike were making love, he came into the room to meet them naked, kissing and making love and he immediately raised an alarm which attracted neighbors in the compound.
“The neighbors shouted abomination, abomination and pounced on both of them, beating and dragging them outside, naked. The crowd that was building up, shouted, God forbid, cursed people and said all sorts of negative words as some of them used their phones to take pictures and record the scene.
“There was blood gushing out from their mouth and nose and one of the mob suggested that they burn them with tire while another said they should call the Police to pick them up. While the beating was still going on, one of them called the police with his phone.
“It was while they were waiting for the Police to come that Mike fell unconscious. But when Frank attempted to help him, they rushed him and concentrated on beating him. It was at that point that Mike escaped from their midst.
“When they ran after Mike, Frank also tried to escape and they followed him instead leaving Mike to go,” the source added.
It was however gathered that Frank was arrested by the Police and all attempts to get Mike proved abortive.
When contacted a Police source disclosed that there is a search team out to arrest Mike who will be liable to spend fourteen years in prison for being an homosexual when convicted in a court of law.
