BENIN CITY – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Edo State has so far distributed a total of 1,215,609 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
The Public Affairs Officer of INEC, Mrs. Priscilia Imoudu – Sule who disclosed this in an exclusive chat with The NIGERIAN OBSERVER in Benin City, urged registered voters who have not collected their PVCs to avail themselves of the two weeks extension for the collection in local government offices of the commission.
While commending the willingness of prospective voters to collect their PVCs, she disclosed that INEC was still awaiting the PVCs of prospective voters in four local government areas who registered during the continuous Voter Registration Exercise.
She also disclosed that some PVCs that were earlier declared missing have been returned to the commission and distributed to affected local government areas.
