The Nigeria National League (NNL) has said clubs in its competition now have March 27 as deadline for the completion of registration formalities for the 2014/2015 league season.
A circular to the clubs, by Lawrence Katken, the NNL Secretary, indicated that the collection of players’ licences would be concluded on the same day.
Reports state that the 32-club league’s 2014/2015 season is expected to kick off on April 18.
The circular also directed that all clubs participating in the new season should make payment for the collection of the official match balls approved by the NNL Board.
It further directed that clubs are required to pay N150,000 for the supply of the balls which were first introduced last season.
The circular urged the clubs to pay the money to the NNL on or before the deadline to enable them collect the balls for their players to train with ahead of the start of the new season.
“Payment of the money for the purchase of the match balls is one of the conditions for the granting of licences and participation in the league,’’ the circular read.
