SABOGIDDA-ORA—The Edo North Senatorial Woman leader, All Progressives
Congress, Madam Angelina Aigbokhai has enjoined the newly elected legislators to Edo State House of Assembly to work harmoniously with Comrade Adams Oshiomhole towards sustaining, promoting and delivery of quality governance to Edo people.
She further advised the new lawmakers to remain loyal to political leaders in their constituencies and be committed to improving the lives of the people they represent.
The Senatorial woman leader gave the advice Wednesday in Uzeba town, Owan-west Local Government Area, Edo State while commenting on the APC victory at the recent state House of Assembly election in Edo.
“My advice for them is that they should support the governor, be loyal to the party and leaders.
“They should remember that people voted for them, they should not go there and eat alone because, three years, four years is just here.
“We are not saying they should give us their money, they should remember the youths, women. In fact, they should just work.
“We know those we voted for. I know they will never fail. They will never sell out. Happily, they have leaders in the House that they can take correction from. Foley Ogedengbe is there. Hon. Phillips Shuaibu the majority leader is also there, though he is about going to represent us in Abuja”. Madam Aigbokhai noted.
Madam Aigbokhai, however, specifically appealed to Hon. Ojo Asein, the lawmaker-elected to represent Owan-West constituency not to betray the confidence and trust reposed in him by the women and people of Owan-West.
Madam Aigbokhai however wished the Edo legislators-elect a purposeful and diligent legislation in a harmonious chamber throughout their tenure.
Earlier, she attributed the APC victory at the polls to Edo peoples’ appreciation of the development strides of Comrade Oshiomhole in the State.
She expressed gratitude to God, Comrade Oshiomhole, APC leaders at various levels and the electorate who ensured that good triumphed over evil
