BENIN CITY – One Engineer Godwin Omoregbee resident in Benin City, Edo State has appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IG), Mr. Solomon Arase to order proper investigation into a case of forgery alleged against some persons over a parcel of land in Ogheghe community, Benin – Sapele Road in Edo State.  The alleged included  Daniel Omoregbee, Barr. Nosa Obaizamomwan, Fred Asemota and others in an allegedattempt to defraud him of his parcel of land via his late father’s LAST WILL & TESTAMENT.
He alleged that over the years, he has been harassed with his life and that of his family under threat.
However, Godwin said that while he proceeded to court to take possession of his inheritance, he also alleged that Daniel and others forged a DEED of TRANSFER and backdated it to February 18, 1988 with all the parties involved executing the transactions same day in Edo State.
This he stated was part of Daniel’s Court processes before the court, whereas Edo State was only created in 1991.
Engr. Omoregbee also alleged that amongst the five suspects was a teacher in one of the Government Schools who masterminded the forgery and was yet to be invited for questioning over an affidavit sworn to at the state High Court, where he (Fred) claimed knowledge of the transaction  and the forged document.
Engr. Omoregbee also stressed further that he has since reported the matter to the AIG, Zone 5 headquarters in Benin City.
