BENIN CITY–The 14 Junior Secondary School, JSS, students arrested over their alleged involvement in cult-related activities in Benin City, a fortnight ago,are now undergoing re-orientation.

The Public Relations Officer for Edo Police Command DSP Stephen Onwochei stated this while giving update on the students arrest, Benin City, weekend.

” We are interacting with the children with a view to re-orientating them so that they can be better leaders of tomorrow.

” Their matter is still being handled, considering their ages, they can be brought to the proper track, but that does not mean that we are undermining the law governing juvenile offenders.

It will be recalled that 14 JSS students of Oguola Secondary School in Saint-Savour area of Benin City were apprehended when a crack team of policemen stormed their school in the morning of Thursday, May 14, 2015.

The police said items believed to be emblems and paraphernalia of notorious cult groups were recovered from the students whose age ranges from 13 to 15
