ABUJA – Newly appointed Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, yesterday, commenced restructing exercice of the state owned oil giant.

The exercise which is geared towards repositioning the state owned corporation for greater productivity, saw reduction of the Corporation Directorates from eight to four.

The new Directorates and their Group Executive Directors, are: Refining and Engineering – Dr. M.K Baru, Exploration and Production – Denis Nnamdi, Commercial and Investment – Bankole Komolafe, and Finance – Isiaka AbdulRazak.

All four appointees were formerly Group General Managers of the Corporation. The decision to promote them, we further learnt, was hinged on their experience with the corporation.

The Group Executive Directors (GED) who were relieved of their appointment are Mr Ian Udoh – Refining & Petrochemicals, Mr Adebayo Ibirogba – Engineering and Technical, David Ige – Gas & Power, Ms. Aisha Abdurrahman – Commerce & Investments, Dr.Dan Efebo – Corporate Services and Dr. Atthir B. Yussuf – Business Development, Exploration & Production.
