Benin City – A gubernatorial aspirant in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State on the Platform of the Labour Party (LP), Pastor Amos Osalumese Areloegbe (CNA) has said that his  foray into politics and desire to be the next governor of Edo State is a divine call.
He made this disclosure yesterday while speaking with The Nigerian Observer. Pastor Amos Areloegbe said that it was never his intention to be a politician or governor, adding that God expressly instructed him to relocate to Edo State and contest the gubernatorial election.
He pointed out that God’s mandate to him is to change the face of Leadership in Edo State and bring about the desired transformation.
While pointing out that when  he becomes the Governor of Edo State, he would fully implement his programme which has 5 points agenda namely agriculture, health, industrialisation, judiciary  and education.
The gubernatorial aspirant stated that he would also implement a special welfare package through which he would cater for the old and the unemployed.
Speaking further, Pastor Areloegbe revealed that transparency, accountability and due process would be central in his administration, adding that if he becomes the governor of Edo State, he would form an all inclusive government where other political parties would participate in the affairs of government.
Asked to comment on the administration of Governor Adams Oshiomhole, the governorship hopeful a chartered Accountant by profession and had served as Pastor in the Living Faith Ministry as well as in Christ Embassy, noted that Governor Adams Oshiomhole had done his best for Edo State and commended him for the level of  infrastructural development. He  promised to complete the projects that Governor Oshiomhole would not be able to complete and commence new ones.
He however contended that he has  confidence in the Labour Party, the platform upon which he would contest the election.
