IDOKPA (Uhunmwode Local Government Area)-The  Chairman of Idokpa Community Development Association, ICDA, Mr. Nosa Iyawe Obamwonyi has reiterated the resolution of the Edo State Government over boundary dispute between his community and Uselu ‘N’Ahor Community, which gave credence to the sharing of the 42 plots into two equal parts (21 plots each) by the communities.
Obanmwonyi, maintained that when justice was not got at the palace of the Enogie of Eyaen, His Royal Highness, Iduriase Osazuwa Aiwerioghene, he caused a petition to be written to the office of the Executive Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on the 18th of September 2014, who upon the receipt, referred the said matter to the Peace and Conflict Resolution Committee PCRC, headed by Chief Eduwu Ekhator, the Obasogie of Benin Kingdom. At the PCRC, the chairman constituted a sub committee, which investigated the matter and resolved that the 42 plots of land which formed the boundary belonged to the Idokpa community.
He wondered why the Enogie of Uselu N’Ahor, HRH Osaro Omoregie Aganmwonyi, could be speaking from the both sides of his mouth, thereby creating wrong impression.
Speaking, with THE NIGERIAN OBSERVER, in his office, weekend, while reacting to the Disclaimer Advertorial Published recently by the Enogie of Uselu N’Ahor  Community HRH Osaro Omoregie Aganmwonyi and his elders, Obamwonyi reiterated that the Lingering boundary dispute had been settled by the Edo State  Government through the office of the Peace and Conflict Resolution, Committee, PCRC, Edo State.
He said that he ( Obanmwonyi) and the entire people of Idokpa Community were surprised to read in one of the daily newspapers publication that he (Enogie of Uselu N’Ahor) was not part of the boundary settlement when it is apparent that the settlement  gave him the nod to sell part of the 21 plots shared to his community which formed the bases of the settlement to one Patience Afese recently and backdated the approval to 23rd of August 2011.
According to him, we have been in the boundary dispute since the Enogie of Uselu N’Ahor assumed the position about seven years ago, and when the matter became heightened, we the people of Idokpa vowed to contest the ownership of the 42 plots which formed the boundary with the Uselu, N’Ahor, hence they (Uselu N’Ahor) summoned us to the palace of the Enogie of Eyaen, where nothing was done to restore peace.
The Idokpa  chair further said that not comfortable with the resolution, the Enogie of Uselu N’Ahor persistently ordered his men to invade and encroached on the lands, saying that when they were almost revenging, two men from Uselu N’Ahor Mr. Enotiemwomwan Mike, the youth chairman and Mr. Atekha Adams, secretary came to negotiate for peace with his community.
Obanwonyi, posited that to maintain high level of unity, he agreed, hence he constituted a committee, headed by one Osabuohen, who went round with his members to the disputed plots and resolved that for peace to reign, the 42 plots be shared into two equal parts which they agreed and it was Communicated to the Enogie of Uselu N’Ahor who agreed with the settlement before it was aimed in EBS TV that the boundary   dispute had been resolved amicably.
He said that he was shocked when the Enogie of Uselu N’Ahor, who had been part of the settlement went to publish that the two representatives from his community were neither sent to represent him nor have the right to so act, when it is clear that he had sold part of the 21 plots to his prospective buyer, saying video clip of the settlement procedures revealed that the Enogie had been part of the settlement and wondered while he could be inconsistent.
Obamwonyi and the people of Idokpa community, however, appealed to the Edo State Government, the office of the Oba of Benin, the office of the Edaiken N’Uselu and the security agents in the state to caution the Enogie of Uselu N’Ahor before he causes communal crisis in the kingdom.
