BENIN CITY- The Odionwere-designate, Chief Sunday Izekor, elders of Abudu Community in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State have pledged their support for Edo State Deputy Governor, Pius Egberanmwen Odubu in his political endeavours.
They made the declaration when they paid him a solidarity visit in Government House, Benin City.
The Odionwere-designate, Chief Sunday Izekor appreciated the governor and the deputy governor for the attention currently being given the long abandoned Abudu Road, stressing that Abudu is gradually becoming urban settlement courtesy of the state government.
He therefore urged the people to be observant in the forthcoming elections to avoid chosing the wrong candidate who may not represent their interest.
Chief  Izekor used the medium to formally invite the deputy governor to his forthcoming installation ceremony as Odionwere of Abudu.
In his report, Dr. Odubu thanked the Abudu delegation for the solidarity visit and promised not to let them down in his service to the state.
Dr. Odubu also appreciated Governor Adams Oshiomhole for the development strides in Abudu and Orhionmwon in general.
He admonished Abudu youths to shun violence and devise peaceful approach in making their demands known to government.
The Abudu delegation was made up of Pa Matthew Ehioghae, Gabriel Emmuze, Engr. Joseph Obaseki as well as the youth leader, Mr. Kingsley Aiyevbomwan amongst others.
