BENIN CITY- A member of a four-man armed gang suspected to be assassins has been beaten to coma after his gang abandoned him during an operation in which they severally stabbed a pharmacist in the stomach in Benin City, last Saturday.

A shot gun and two live cartridges were allegedly recovered from the suspect whose gun failed to fire during his chase.

The gunmen who operated in Audi 80 car stormed the newly opened chemist shop at Wire Road, opposite Emotan College, Benin City, about 6:25pm.

The suspect in his attempt to scare the youths away allegedly brandished a shot gun as he scaled the perimeter wall fence and ran into Emotan College where he was captured.
