BENIN CITY –  The Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria (FFDGN) recently in Benin City elected a new eight-man executive to pilot its affairs during which the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Lucky Imasuen (South South) emerged the new National Chairman.
Also elected is Suleiman Muhammed Argungu (North West) as the National Deputy National Chairman just as Abubakar Armayau (North East) is now the Secretary General and Dr Chris Akomas (South East) takes over as Publicity Secretary.
Dame Pauline Tallen (North Central) is Treasurer and the Financial Secretary is Hazeem Gbolarumi (South West) while Sooko Adewunyin A. (South) and Patrick Adaba (North) are Ex-official members.
The Forum also confirmed the following to serve in its Board of Trustees (BoT); Abdulmaliuk Mahmud as Chairman, Chris Ekpenyong, Prof. Onje Gye-wado, Erelu Olusola Obadan, Ebere Udeagu and James Bawa Magaji as members.
Speaking shortly before handing over to Lucky Imasuen as the new National Chairman of the Forum, the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Abdulmalik Mahmud said, “ The Forum applauded Mr. President and his team in their quest for zero tolerance for corruption and wish to advise that the institutions for fighting corruption such as  the Economic and financial crime commission (EFCC) and independent Corrupt And Other Related Practices Commission (ICPC) among others be strengthened,” stressing that the forum noted the progress made by President Mohammadu Buhari in stabilizing the Nigerian polity and urged him to further strengthen all relevant institutions for efficiency and sustainability.
The Forum also lauded Edo state Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for the various projects he had executed to transform Edo state from its hitherto ancient status to enviable heights.
In his acceptance speech after being elected, the new National Chairman of the Forum of Former Deputy Governors Of Nigeria, Chief Lucky Imasuen assured the members that he would disappoint them just as he solicited their support for the new leadership of the forum.
