BENIN CITY- Police in Saint Saviour have apprehended a three-man gang of suspected burglars alleged to have burgled many stores in Benin Metropolis, recently.

Five generators, two bags containing clothes and shoes, 11 fashion dummies and exotic electronics were among items recovered from the suspects.

It was gathered that the Saint Saviour Divisional Police Officer, SP Abiodun Osifo led his operatives in collaboration with vigilante group in the area, to execute the raid.

The Public Relations Officer for Edo State Police Command DSP Theodore Okafor said that the trio, Alex Precious, 22, Edosa Daniel, 26, and Richmond Ojies, 18 were nabbed following intelligence report received on September 15, 2016.

He further added that investigation had also revealed that the suspects are members of Eiye confraternity.

The suspects admitted involvement in breaking and looting of stores in Benin City, but denied membership of Eiye confraternity.

DSP Okafor however stated that the three suspected service burglars would soon be charged to court.
