ADO-EKITI-  Federal Road Safety Corp on Friday said it was set to step up
enforcement of drivers licence to ensure that all drivers were fit to ply the roads.

The Sector Commander in Ekiti, Mr Ismailia Kugu, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ado-Ekiti.

He advised motorists in the state to get their driver’s licence from the appropriate quarters.

The commander said that officers in the sector would all be out to check those who do not have driver’s licence and those with fake ones.

He added that motorists without driver’s licence should keep off the roads as checking would be in high gear.

According to him, this is to usher in the commission’s operations zero tolerance to road traffic crashes.

He warned those in the habit of getting illegal or fake driver’s licence to desist from such act as penalty would be meted on them.

“Anyone caught without driver’s licence would be fined N10,000, while those with fake licence
would be fined N15,000,” he said.
