Christology: Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the living God
Today, in the gospel of Matthew 16:13-19 the true identity of our Lord Jesus Christ was established: “When Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that the Son of man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.” With this confession it is obvious that our Lord Jesus Christ is the long expected Messiah. He is indeed the Christ, the Son of the Living God. To him be gory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!

Prophetic Message: You Shall be Rewarded
In his second letter to Timothy 4:6-8, 17-18 St. Paul proudly declares, “I am already on the point of being sacrificed; the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.” Child of God, as long as you are doing God’s work in sincerity and in truthfulness there is a crown a glory waiting for you. You will surely be rewarded and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the Great Healer
The gospel of Matthew 8:5-17 presents our Lord Jesus Christ as the great Physician. Even without visiting the home of the centurion Jesus healed his servant with a spoken word. He said to the centurion, “Go; let it be done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed at that very moment. when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever; he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and served him. That evening they brought to him many who were possessed with demons; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, “He took our infirmities and bore our diseases.” With these extraordinary cases our Lord Jesus Christ proved to the world that he is the greatest Physician the world has ever known. He is our Healer. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!

Prophetic message: You shall be Comforted
The Lord is our Comforter. In the book of Lamentations 2:2, 10-14, 18-19 the Lord declares, “What can I say for you, to what compare you, O daughter of Jerusalem? What can I liken to you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Sion? For vast as the sea is your ruin; who can restore you?” Only God can bring such restoration! Child of God, no matter how ruin your case may be, the Lord has remembered you. He has come to comfort you. You will be comforted forever in Jesus name – Amen!

Celebration of Christ: Jesus, the Healer and Restorer of Life
Our Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest Healer the world has ever known. As a healer, He was so powerful that even the fringe of his garment was bringing healing to the people. In the gospel of Mark 5:21-43 a woman with an issue of blood said to herself: “If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.” And immediately the haemorrhage ceased- and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.” Child of God, you may not touch Jesus with your physical hand, but with faith Jesus can touch any part of your body, especially those parts where you are experiencing pains. You are receiving your healing in Jesus name – Amen!
Today’s gospel also presents our Lord Jesus Christ as the Restorer of life. When Jesus arrived at the home of Jairus were they had already prepared for the burial of a little girl, he said to them, “Why do you make a tumult and weep? The child is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside, and took the child’s father and mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was. Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Talitha cumi”; which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” And immediately the girl got up and walked” Child of God, as long as our Lord Jesus Christ is concerned you will not die premature death. He will not allow the enemies to bury you untimely. You shall live to glorify the name of the Lord and it shall be well with you in Jesus name -Amen!

Prophetic Message: You are born to be Immortal and Incorruptible
Our God is immortal, Invisible and Incorruptible. We, the children of God are created in God’s image and likeness. According to the book of Wisdom 1:13-15;2:23-24 “God did not make death, and he does not delight in the death of the living. For he created all things that they might exist, and the creatures of the world are wholesome, and there is no destructive poison in them; and the dominion of Hades is not on earth. For righteousness is immortal. For God created man for incorruption, and made him in the image of his own eternity. but through the devil’s envy death entered the world, and those who belong to his party experience it.” Child of God, you are not in the party of death; you belong to the party of life. As long as you are in Christ Jesus, you are an immortal being. You will share in his incorruptible nature and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Celebration of Christ: Jesus, the Master of Vocation Directors
Vocation directors are those who are entrusted with the discernment of those who have vocation and those who may not have vocation. As th Master of vocations our Lord Jesus Christ established two guiding principles when choosing those who have vocation. The first guiding principle is to be aware that many are called but few are chosen. “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.” And Jesus said to him,
“Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head.” Another of the disciples said to him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”

Prophetic Message: The Lord shall Destroy your Destroyers
There are two things that awaits us here on earth either reward or punishment. If we refuse to follow the way of the Lord, the Lord says, “Behold, I will press you down in your place, as a cart full of sheaves presses down.” If on the other hand we are loyal to the Lord, He will fight our battle. As the Lord rightly declares, “Yet I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and who was as strong as the oaks; I destroyed his fruit above, and his roots beneath. Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.” The Amorites are depicted here as the enemies of God’s children. The enemies of God’s children are enemies of God. The Lord will not allow the enemies to destroy his children. Child of God, as long as you are connected with God, He will surely protect you against those who plan evil against you. He will not allow the Amorites to destroy you. He will surely protect you in Jesus name – Amen!

Celebration of Christ: Jesus, the Visible Messiah
In the gospel of John 20:24-29 after the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, the disciples said to Thomas who was not there when Jesus appeared to them, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, and place my finger in the mark of the nails, and place my hand in his side, I will not believe.” The next week Jesus appeared to them and said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “You have believed because you have seen me. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.” Physically, we may say that the Risen Christ is invisible but spiritually, our Lord Jesus Christ is everywhere. He is our invisible Guest of honour. Our visible Messiah. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!

Prophetic Message: You are a Heavenly Citizen
Children of God are not ordinary people. They are peculiar people. In his letter to Ephesians 2:19-22 St. Paul declares, “You are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord.” Child of God, no matter where you may find yourself in this world, you are not a stranger or an ordinary refugee. With Christ, you are a heavenly citizen. you are secured forever in Jesus name – Amen!

Celebration of Christ: Jesus, the Demon Destroyer
The gospel of Matthew 8:28-34 presents our Lord Jesus Christ as the most powerful Man on earth, He is the demon destroyer. When he to the country of the Gadarenes, two demoniacs met him, coming out of the tombs, so fierce that no one could pass that way. And behold, they cried out, “What have you to do with us, O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?” Now a herd of many swine was feeding at some distance from them. And the demons begged him, “If you cast us out, send us away into the herd of swine.” And he said to them, “Go.” So they came out and went into the swine; and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and perished in the waters.” Child of God, your enemies are in trouble. What happened to these demons will soon happen to all those who are trying to destroy you. You are hereby declared free from every demonic possession in the name of the father, Son and Holy Spirit – Amen!

Prophetic Message: the Lord shall be Gracious unto you
Our God is a gracious God. He is gracious to those who seek Him and those who do the right thing. The prophet Amos 5:14-15, declares, “Seek good, and not evil, that you may live; and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you, as you have said. Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate; it may be that the Lord, the God of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.” The reward for good living is clear: Child of God, if you seek good, you will surely live! The Lord will even be with you. If you avoid evil and uphold justice, the Lord will be gracious to you and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Celebration of Christ: Jesus, the Merciful Healer
Our Lord Jesus Christ is a Merciful Healing. He does not just deliver people from their sickness he goes deeper to deliver them from the root cause of their sickness. Most of the sickness in our world today is caused by sin. Sin has paralyzed so many people. In the gospel of Matthew 9:1-8 they brought to Jesus a paralytic, lying on his bed; and when Jesus saw their faith, instead of praying for healing, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.” Sin must have paralyzed the man.
When some of the scribes saw what happened they said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming ”But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say ‘Rise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins”— he then said to the paralytic— “Rise, take up your bed and go home.” And he rose and went home. When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.” The authority to sin is the highest authority. With this power Jesus was able to set the man free from the bondage of sin and he was also able to deliver him from the spirit of paralysis. With this, our Lord Jesus Christ has proved to the world that he is indeed a Merciful Healer. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!

Prophetic Message: Nobody can silent you
The battle between Priests and prophet did not start today. The battle between traditional and Charismatic men of God did not start today. In the book of Amos 7:10-17 the priest Amaziah tried to silent the prophet Amos saying, “O seer, go, flee away to the land of Judah, and eat bread there, and prophesy there; but never again prophesy at Bethel for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a temple of the kingdom.” Instead of working for the salvation of souls the priests of our generation are still fighting over territories and parishes. The Prophet Amos said to the priest, “I am no prophet, nor a prophet’s son; but I am a herdsman, and a dresser of sycamore trees, and the LORD took me from following the flock, and the LORD said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ Instead of keeping quiet Amos prophesied the more. Child of God, as long as God is the One that called you, nobody can silent you. God will not allow your enemies to suppress you. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
