“Thus saith the woman of Samaria unto Him (Jesus). How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.” – JOHN 4:9. This Samaritan woman knew that Jesus was a Jew by His mode of dressing!
But unfortunately, nowadays, it is difficult to differentiate believers in Christ from unbelievers, because of their worldly and carnal dressing, and even men with chains round their necks, and because of the style of hair-cut or hair-do, and some anoint their bodies with strong offensive perfumes. Majority of women, who profess to know Christ or who profess to be “born again” believers, wear things that pertain unto men and vice versa, men wearing things that pertain unto women, not knowing the judgment of God, that THOSE WHO DO SUCH THINGS ARE ABOMINATION UNTO THE LORD THEIR GOD – DEUTERONOMY 22:5. Even majority of our women who are “ordained” in their various churches as Deaconesses, Pastors, Bishops, wilfully transgress this commandment of God.
In Paul’s letter to the Corinthian church, in 1 CORINTHIANS 6:9, it is written that the EFFEMINATE cannot inherit the kingdom of God. This refers to male believers in Christ who transgress this commandment of God by putting on things that pertain unto women. Likewise, the women, who put on things that pertain unto men, cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Holy women of God, are advised by Paul to adorn themselves in modest apparel with SHAMEFACEDNESS AND SOBRIETY, NOT WITH BROIDED HAIR-STYLE NOR WITH GOLD OR PEARLS OR COSTLY ARRAY- 1 TIMOTHY 2:9. But today, where is the shamefacedness of most female believers in Christ? They have become promiscuous in their dressing by conforming to the fashion of the world that will soon pass away-1 CORINTHIANS 7:31.
The seductive and promiscuous dressings of most female believers in Christ today, are abominable and offensive to God and it is all pride of life, which is not of God but of the world- 1 JOHN 2:16. The pride of life exhibited in the mode of dressing of the daughters of Zion incurred the terrible anger and the judgment of God, written in ISAIAH 3:16-23 and I quote “Moreover, the Lord saith, because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go and making a tinkling with their feet.” In VERSE 17, it is written and I quote, “Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will discover their secret parts.” In VERSES 18-23, God said, instead of the smell of their strong perfumes, He would make them stink, and instead of their well- decorated and extravagant hair-do, He (God) will give them baldness; and instead of beauty, with assorted bleaching and toning creams, He would give them burning – VERSE 24.
Most believers in Christ do say, in error, that it doesn’t matter what they wear on their bodies because Christianity is of the heart. This is a lie of the devil because God says the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Who can know it? – JEREMIAH 17:9. And Jesus says, out of the heart proceed lasciviousness (in dressing), pride, foolishness etc. –MARK 7:21-23. In 1 CORINTHIANS 6:20, it is written and I quote, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” Christians are not their own any more. That is why they must glorify God in their body by being sober in what they wear. Dressing is meant to cover man’s nakedness and not to expose the body. All believers in Christ shall give account, before the judgment seat of Christ, of what they have done to their bodies – 1 CORINTHIANS 5:10.
God is also particular about Christian women covering their heads, while praying or prophesying. Women who do not cover their heads, in obedience to the word of God, are, as if they were shaven, because the Bible says, if the woman is not covered, let her therefore, also be shorn (shaven). But if it is a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, then she must cover her head. “Judge in yourselves: Is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?”-1 CORINTHIANS 11:13. “Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?” – 1 CORINTHIANS 11:14. Nature should teach us that if a man wears skirt and blouse, or gown, or wrapper and buba, it is a shame unto him, and even madness! Nature should also teach us that if a woman wears trousers, it is madness and a shame unto her. Worse still, such a believer in Christ is an abomination unto the Lord his/her God, as written in DEUTERONOMY 22:5. The Spirit of God warns that no strange god should be found in a Christian man/woman – PSALM 81:9a. That was why Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, that they should put away the strange gods that were among them, on their journey to Bethel, and be clean and that they should change their garments – GENESIS 35:2. What were some of these strange gods? THE EARRINGS WHICH WERE IN THEIR EARS – GENESIS 35:4.
And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you FREE! But those who are not of the truth, heareth not the voice of the truth and so, shall remain in Satan’s CAPTIVITY!
