Lagos – A supervisor and one fuel attendant at Skepter Petrol Station are now cooling their feet’s in Police custody in Lagos for allegedly masterminding a robbery attack on the filling station.

Identified as Daniel Freedom and Mike Charles, the suspects were alleged to have conspired with a gang of armed robbers to rob customers and fuel attendants at the station situated at Igbo- Elerin Bus-Stop, in Ojo area of the state.

Members of the gang, identified as
Obinna Ofoma, aged 25 years;
Ndukwa Junior, aged 22 years;
William Okon, aged 22 years;Tony Oluchukwu aged 28 years and Charles Mike, according to report had stormed the filling station on October 28th 2018 at about 9pm where they dispossessed their victims of valuable items including cash.

Following a tip off, police operatives from Ilemba Hausa Police Station and FSARS Ikeja were jointly mobilized to the scene, but could not make any arrest as the hoodlums were said to have fled before the arrival of the team.

However, luck was said to have ran out on them , as they were later arrested in the night at their hideout.

Exhibits, which include two toy guns, three knives and one axe were recovered from the bandits.

The Commissioner of Police Lagos State Command Edgal Imohimi confirmed the report Monday during a media briefing on the successes recorded by the command recently.

Edgal disclosed that discreet investigation revealed that the supervisor of the Petrol Station, one Daniel Freedom and his fuel attendant, Mike Charles were the master minds of the robbery operation.

He added that the suspects confessed that they specialized in robbing Petrol Station around Igando and Ilemba Hausa axis of Lagos State.

The police boss said Investigation is ongoing with a view to arresting other members of the gang currently at large for prosecution.

” ​On the 28/10/2018 at about 2100hrs information was received from a credible source that some armed men were sighted at Skepter Petrol Station situated at Igbo-Elerin Bus-Stop, Ojo area of Lagos robbing fuel attendants and their customers.

On receipt of the information operatives from Ilemba Hausa Police Station and FSARS Ikeja jointly mobilized to the scene. Unfortunately, before the team could arrive, the hoodlums who sensed danger disappeared.

However, later in the night, the robbers were arrested from where they were hiding and their arms comprising; two (2) toy guns, three knives and one axe were recovered. During interrogation they gave their names;
(i) Obinna Ofoma ‘m’ aged 25 years;
(ii) Ndukwa Junior ‘m’ aged 22 years;
(iii) William Okon ‘m’ aged 22 years;
(iiii) Tony Oluchukwu ‘m’ aged 28 years;
(v) Charles Mike ‘m’ aged 20 years and
(vi) Freedom Daniel ‘m’ 20 years.

It was revealed that the supervisor of the Petrol Station, one Daniel Freedom and his fuel attendant, Mike Charles were the master minds of the robbery operation at the Filling State.
