BENIN CITY – Young Nigerian Right Organization, a human rights group and some residents on Wednesday in Assba, Delta State protested against the Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC over poor distribution of electricity
The protesters, led by Comrade Victor Ojie said the Federal Government should withhold the renewal of the operational licence of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company, (BEDC) over poor electricity supply, over billing and intimidation of consumer in Delta State.
The protesters who carried placards with various inscriptions such as “BEDC must go; hinted that it is a joint actions against the impunity of BEDC.
He noted that BEDC is not treating customers with respect; we are tired of blackout. among others.
He further stated that December 2019 will end BEDC operational license as a legal action will be instituted against the company.
