LAGOS – The Lagos State Police Command have declared wanted a-23-year old girl, one Wilson Osarugue Cassandra, over her alleged involvement in lesbianism, an act proscribed by the Nigerian government.
A source who spoke with our Crime Correspondent disclosed that Cassandra, was caught in the alleged homosexual act with her female partner, Joan Omolabi, in 2020 while making the illicit love.
The NIGERIAN OBSERVER gathered that the female lovers were deeply engrossed in the amorous act of lesbianism practice when an aged neighbour, Mrs. Stella Omokaro, stumbled on them.
The bewildered Omokaro was said to have drawn the attention of the youths and local vigilante around to witness the abominable act.
The youths it was learnt subsequently apprehended Cassandra and Omolabi, a sickle cell patient and handled the culprits to the Police after given them the beaten of their lives.
According to our source, there was a twist of event as Cassandra through the help of a female Police Officer, one Inspector Bisola, assisted her to escape from the police custody, while Cassandra’s love partner, Omolabi who was bleeding severely though her nose was taken to the hospital for treatment by the police.
Contacted, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bala Elkana, confirmed the report and said that the Command have beamed its searchlight towards re-arresting the fleeing Wilson Osarugue Cassandra, as well as one Mr. Johnson who aided her escape from Nigeria.
He disclosed that while Cassandra’s lesbian partner, Omolabi has been charged to court for homosexuality, the Police officer who aided Cassandra’s escape from detention, Bisola, have been dismissed from the Police and sentenced to jail.
DSP Elkana, revealed further that the Police have been mandated to bring the lesbian suspect Cassandra to justice as a deterrent to other young men and women who may want to indulge in such unwholesome act considered which is an alien, forbidden and threat to the survival of morales amongst the people.
The Police Spokesman further stated that the Command was also looking for one Mr. Johnson who assisted Cassandra to travel out of the country and that a ransom will be placed on them for anybody who knows their whereabouts.
