BENIN CITY- In continuation of the “Thank You Tour” of the Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Oba Ewuare II would be leaving Benin City for Calabar tomorrow where the monarch is expected to be hosted by Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayande as well as the Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V
This was disclosed to The NIGERIAN OBSERVER by the Secretary, Benin Traditional Council, Mr. Frank Irabor.
According to the thank you tour itinerary, the revered Oba would be visiting the Obong of Calabar on Saturday 11, 2020, just as the Oba of Benin would be meeting with the Cross River State Government on Monday 13, 2020 before proceeding to Port-Harcourt, Rivers State in continuation of the tour.
On arriving Port-Harcourt, Oba Ewuare II is scheduled to meet with the Governor of Rivers State, Barrister Nyesom Wike and South-South Monarchs’ Forum
The Monarch would be departing Port-Harcourt for Benin City on Thursday, January 16, 2020.
Meanwhile, the advance party of the Oba of Benin departed Benin City Wednesday, for Calabar.
The advance party which left Benin City at about 12:30 PM had on the entourage top palace functionaries, Journalists amongst others.
