The story has been reported by our correspondent, about one of such bloody attacks on the Oviasuyi family house at No. 14, Oviasuyi street in Ikpoba Okha axis of Benin city. The attack was necessitated by the suspicion that the landlord of the house Mr. Albert Oviasuyi, an octogenarian his son Fred Osabuohien Oviasuyi and others played a very active role of masterminding and mobilizing youths during the protest in the area.

According to a very close family neighbor source, who preferred to be anonymous for fear of victimization that narrated the story said that the attack took place in the evening at about 10:45pm of the fateful day, November 20, 2020. The law enforcement agents, comprising soldiers from 4th
Infantry Brigade, Benin and mobile policemen form Mopol 5, Ogida Benin, came in mofty with two Hilux vans heavily armed.

On arrival, they swooped on the landlord, Mr. Albert Oviasuyi who was relaxing outside the balcony and killed him on the spot. Beat his son Fred Osabuohien Oviasuyi to stupor, injuring his left eye very badly and adopted him and his two sisters, Faith John and Blessing Anthony, drove away with them afterall.

The source added that the Son Fred Osabuohien Oviasuyi in his early thirties worked as an OND graduate, with Prosper Civil Engineering & Construction Work as Foreman, was however released from captivity after about a month when they discovered that the wounded eye was swollen to the head and may result to death.

But while still in the hospital and God helping the young Oviasuyi , he quickly got the information that the police are already aware that he survived and on admission in UBTH and planning how to storm the hospital, he quickly escaped in the midnight of that day before dawn.
Moreover, immediately after Fred Oviasuyi escaped from the hospital, that night, the police stormed the hospital ward, very early the following morning in search of him, but was very surprise and disappointed to meet his hospital bed empty and the nurses on duty couldn’t even give account of what actually transpired. Since then till the time of filling this report nothing has been heard about him, nor even sighted anywhere by anybody.

The same also applicable to the adopted sisters, that were whisked away on the night of the attack.
Moreso, the family house, where the attack took place and their father murdered in cold blood, has divorced it’s inhabitants as nobody is so bold to live there for fear of further attacks as policemen and soldiers are always still coming to the house and patrolling the area in search of Fred Osabuohien Oviasuyi. They have vowed to get him dead or alive as instructed from above, anywhere found in the country.

An insider military source have also revealed that almost all the IPOB people that were nabbed that period have been secretly killed without any form of trial, inspite of the cry of most Non Governmental Organisation cry for a stop to such jungle justice prevailing in our society presently.
Meanwhile, the family of Oviasuyi and friends of Fred Osabuohien Oviasuyi have cried out to all concerned authorities and Godly spirited people to please help in the search and protection of their son and friend Fred Osabuohien Oviasuyi and sisters, who are victims of circumstance, as there is no crime belonging to any group of choice. They added that IPOB is just a harmless group that is fighting for their own freedom and to be granted the right to their own Republic of Biafra as a country, and that there is suppose to be no harm in agitation of a people’s freedom .
