BENIN CITY – An employer in Benin City, Edo State, Mr Chidi Ebere has launched a manhunt for one of his employees, Paul Imoisili after he (Ebere) murdered a 59 year old member of the Imoisili family, Mr. Sunday Imoisili.
Ebere was said to have murdered Sunday Imoisili after a provocation resulting from a resistance put forward by Sunday to prevent the arrest of Paul who was said to have absconded with the company’s truck carrying goods worth millions of naira since 2008.
Paul was said to have been arrested by the Police and later granted bail, but was never seen thereafter.
Following the development, Ebere was said to have launched a manhunt for Paul.
It was gathered that years after the manhunt did not yield the desired result, Ebere, in company local vigilante decided to visit the family residence of the Imoisilis where he was said to have threatened to deal with members of the family unless they produce Paul, a son and a relation who had gone into hiding.
Consequently, it was reliably gathered that the threat did not go down well with Sunday who thereafter
challenged Ebere to focus on his arresting Paul, rather than threatening members of the Imoisili family.
This development was said to have angered Ebere who thereafter ordered his boys to fetch him his gun which he used to shoot Sunday to death.
Realising that Sunday had died, consequent of the gun shot, Ebere entered his car and escaped with his so call boys.
As at press time, the Police authorities were yet to make any official statement on the matter
