WARRI – Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, last weekend, appealed to non-indigenes resident in Delta State to come out en masse and participate in the ongoing registration and revalidation of membership exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Senator Omo-Agege made the appeal during the official opening of an office complex which is a brainchild of his legislative Aide on Non Indigenes Affairs, Hon. Iwuchukwu Ekezie, at Enerhen junction, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.
The non indigenes, comprising, people from Edo, Yoruba, Igbo , and Hausa as well as other ethnic nationalities, used the opportunity to notify Senator Omo-Agege of some of the challenges they face in carrying out their daily businesses in Warri and it’s environs .
Senator Omo Agege, while promising the non-indigenes that he would do his best to address the issues raised as regards creating a more conducive business environment, he commended his legislative aide on non-indigenes for deeming it fit to open the office, which he said, would help in getting feedback on complaints and needs of non-indigenes in the state.
Hon. Iwuchuchuku Ekezie had earlier in his opening speech, commended the senator for all the support he has been giving to the non-indigenes in the state, assuring him that they will continue to rally round him in his political career.
Some of those who attended the event were people people Edo ,Yoruba, Hausa, Arewa and as well as other indigenes.
