BENIN CITY- Senior Pastor of the House of Favour International Church, HOFIC, Rev. Lucky Onaiwu, has warned parents against skipping their children/wards’ classes in school, saying it will not augur well with them in terms of academic learning, just as he has commended the Edo State Government, particularly His Excellency Mr Godwin Obaseki, the Executive Governor, for embarking on reform revolution of the education sector in the state.

Rev. Onaiwu, who also the proprietor of the school, gave the warning in Benin City, weekend, during this year 2021 Seventh Graduation Ceremony of the HOFIC Christian Academy, held at the corporate headquarters of the school.

He reminded parents that children/wards excel academically if they are allowed to pass through the learning process and not to jump classes just because you want your children/wards to move to the next marathon level, adding that HOFIC Academy, being a Christian school, children are taught how to read and write as well as morals, pointing out that this year has been productive, especially in view of the Covid-19 pandemic which almost disrupted academic activities in the year 2020, while thanking the parents for not only believing in the school capability, but reposing trust and confidence in the ability of the management.

He expressed gratitude to God for providing a conducive atmosphere to celebrate this year graduation anniversary of the school, assuring of the school continued efforts to recruit qualified teachers and other manpower to impact knowledge on their children and commended the staff for living above expectations in discharging their tasks to achieve this feat, disclosing about 54 students and pupils from Pre-Nursery, K.G.3, Primary 5and J.S.S 3 classes graduated.

In a related development, the Chief Inspector of Education, C.I.E, In-charge of Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, Mrs Ero Ugiagbe, thanked the proprietor and the management staff for putting up such academic standard which competes with that abroad, stressing that HOFIC Christian Academy, has distinguished itself as a private school with high level of intellectual prowess, while advising parents to continually encourage their children as they are their future bank accounts. High point of the event was the presentation of Certificates and Prizes to the best graduating students and pupils.

Present include the mother of the proprietor, Deaconess Dr. Felicia Onaiwu, the son of the proprietor and UK based administrator, Mr. Timothy Onaiwu, who gave the vote of thanks to herald the closing ceremony and the younger brother of the proprietor among others.
