The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has invited all aspirants who have the ambition to contest for different political positions in 2023.
The meeting which was scheduled to hold at the Oyo State Government House will commence at 11.am today.
Makinde instructed all the aspirants to attend the meeting as all pending issues ahead of the 2023 primary of the party would be resolved.
The NIGERIAN OBSERVER gathered that the Governor invited the aspirants due to some discrepancies trailing the forthcoming primary of the party.
It was gathered that leaders and aspirants of the party in some constituencies are not in agreement with the candidates to flag the party’s flag due to some internal wrangling.
While confirming the invitation, the State Secretary of the party, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke said, “This is to inform all aspirants for different elective political offices under Oyo State PDP that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State and the leader of our party will like to meet with us all, Monday, 25/04/2022 by 11am prompt at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.
