The All Progressives Congress, APC, National Executive Council, NEC, yesterday, shifted authority to its National Working Committee, NWC, for 90 days.

NEC, under the leadership of the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, decided to shift its powers to the NWC in order to function maximally.

National Secretary of APC, Senator Iyiola Omisore informed the gathering that Senate President Ahmed Lawan moved the motion and was seconded by Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna.

With this new development, APC NWC will now take decisions that might require the intervention of the NEC meeting.
This decision became necessary to cautioned stakeholders against the misconception that it could not lose the 2023 election.

He reminded them of what happened to the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), when they lost the 2014 election as a result of disunity.
