A Foremost Peoples Democratic Party, PDP senatorial aspirant for Edo South Senatorial District, Hon Sunny Aguebor has assured delegates of Ikpoba Okha Local Government area of responsible representation and he challenged other aspirants to prove their vested interest in the area to warrant their being voted to the senate.
Speaking during a meeting with elders and delegates of the PDP in Ikpoba Okha, Hon Sunny Aguebor, popularly called BIBI said the delegates of the party should not allow strangers who have not invested in the area to come and pick the ticket.
According to him, “this is the time to make the right choice and as delegates you should ask those aspiring what they have done. I can boast of being a local champion because I have invested in the state and particularly in Ikpoba Okha to create opportunities for people.
“I established Bibi Hotel twenty three years ago and since then it has created employment for several Edo sons and daughters and we have been paying tax to the state government. The Bibi Petroleum and Gas is located in Ikpoba Okha. There is also the Bibi farms.
“Bibi group of companies have created opportunities for people and everything I have labored for are located in Edo state. I was born sixty years ago and after my National Youths Service I travelled to Tokyo in 1987 and in 1998 I came back because there is no place like home.
“I live with you and I believe I am the most competent candidate to go to the Senate because I will go there to ask questions which others have refused to ask. I will make you fishers of men by teaching you how to fish.
The PDP chairman of Ikpoba Okha local government area, Hon F.O Aiwumagborie who introduced the senatorial aspirant to the delegates said he has respect for BiBi for ensuring that the people are taught how to fish rather than giving them fish
“Bibi has businesses in Japan and he wants to bring what he is doing over there to Ikpoba Okha, and I respect him for teaching us how to fish. ” he added.
The meeting was attended by chairmen, deputy chairmen, Secretaries, women leaders and youth leaders from ward one to ward ten as well as members of the party in the Local government area.
