Edo State Government has charged workers in the State to carry out their assigned duties diligently in other to achieve the target objective of the service.
The Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa Esq. gave this charge when he received Officers recently sponsored by the Edo State Government to the National Institute for Policy, and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos from August 1st to 26th August, 2022.
Okungbowa said that Government is committed to rewarding hard work with the view to encouraging productivity in the public service, and that can only be achieved through concerted efforts at developing the manpower in the service.
The Head of Service told the officers that the NIPSS course was part of Government’s effort at repositioning the Civil and Public Service through training and retraining Civil/Public Servants to enhance productivity with a view to achieving greater efficiency in the implementation of Government policies and programmes aimed at bettering the lives of the people.
He urged the Officers to treat their assigned duties with the benefit of a broader horizon leveraging the experience gained to impact the service and their colleagues through shared knowledge and know how, as that was the whole essence of their participation in the course.
He said the Obaseki administration’s impactful investments in the public service is to keep its personnel in the position to effectively imbibe and respond to the changing dynamics in public administration globally, noting that the training is an investment to ensuring that every civil servant is equipped with the needed tool to be able to function in the Making Edo Great Again (MEGA) agenda
The Officers who participated in the training were Mr. Ehigiamusoe Emmanuel, Mr. Sunny Erhunmonsere, Mr. Binanu Usman and Mr. Gilbert Adegboyega.
Leader of the Course Participants Mr. Ehigiamusoe Emmanuel  briefed the Head of Service of the enriched benefits and experience gained from their participation in the course.

He hailed Mr.  Governor for the unprecedented reforms in the Civil and Public Service and thanked the Head of Service for finding them worthy to be sponsored for the NIPSS course.
