Warri – More relief has come the way of flood victims in Delta as the Church of God Mission International( CGMi) came to their rescue with the donation of relief materials worth millions of Naira.

The materials which were presented to its members in the Isoko zone at the Emevor headquarters of the Church of God Mission International, comprise of mattresses, clothes, Bags of rice, cartons of noodles, tubers of yams, toiletries and insecticide treated nets .

Rev. Michael Martins while presenting the relief materials to
the Co-ordinator of Isoko zone of the Church of God Mission International, Rev. Odagwe-Adoh Ifeanyi on behalf of the Bishop of the Mission, Arc-Bishop(Dr).Margaret Benson-Idahosa, said , the items were contributions from the CGMI to assist flood victims in cushioning the effects of the flood on its members.

While sympathizing with the flood victims, Rev. Martins noted that the CGMi has always showed concern to welfare of members explaining that the relief materials being distributed were part of donations from the Church.

Receiving the relief materials on behalf of flood victims in Church of God Mission in Isoko, the Coordinator of Isoko zone, Church of God Mission, Rev. Odagwe-Adoh Ifeanyi commended the CGMI for their timely intervention.

Rev. Odagwe-Adoh Ifeanyi equally commended Minister’s of the CGMI for their transparency in handling the palliatives without holding no relief materials behind.

He promised to distribute the relief materials appropriately amongst the different provinces of the church.

Other members of Church of God Mission Isoko zone present including Reverend Henry Ehigie-Osarobo and Reverend Raymond Omoruwou who both gave kudos to CGMI for meeting flood victims at the point of their needs.

They described the gesture by Arc Bishop Dr Margaret-Benson Idahosa and other donors as “Christianity in action” noting that the food items, clothing and other household materials would enable the affected flood victims heave you a sigh of relief and at the same time feel the impact of the Church as the items would help cushion the effects of the flooding .
