The Director General, Dr. Jackson Amayo who noted the urgent need for the Delta Nurses to be actively involved in Political movement of our dear state said that politics is incomplete without the immerse contribution of Nurses.

“Nursing is one of the largest medical profession in the world. As such, nurses have the potential to profoundly influence policy and politics on a global scale. In fact, it is the moral and professional obligation of nurses to be engaged in legislation that impacts their patients. When nurses influence the politics that improve the delivery of healthcare, they are ultimately advocating for their patients.”

As the DG, he urges Nurses to rise up to give face-lift to democracy by realizing the importance of their votes noting that a vote for PDP is a vote for development, Infrastructures, Education, Healthcare, Security and Empowerment in all round.

Dr. Jackson Amayo during a brief lecture in School of Nursing, Eku said that PDP is the best party for MORE democratic dividends.

“There are several reasons for the limited nursing participation in policy and politics. Lack of awareness, inadequate skills, and little opportunity for involvement are just a few factors. Another barrier is the limited formal health care policy education in nursing. Time and resources are further obstacles to the nursing profession’s participation in politics.”

“At the state and federal level, nurses can get involved in policy and politics by joining a professional nursing organization like Delta Nurses for PDP.”

He encouraged all and sundry to be supportive of this Pressure Group as Victory is already secured for PDP family come 2023. Jackson concluded.
