Asaba: The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Emmanuel Sideso Abe 1, has charged Christians to pray for Uvwie Kingdom.
This was contained in his keynote address during the Christian Association of Nigeria’s (CAN) Universal Week of Prayer 2023 organised by the Uvwie Local Government Area Chapter which was held at his ultra-modern gigantic palace, GRA Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Uvwie monarch appreciated CAN for choosing his palace as the venue for the annual event. The theme of this year’s event was ‘ Prevailing over the Storm’ taken from Matthew Chapter 8 verses 23-27.
He stated that prayers were needed to sustain relative peace in order to attract investors to the area. The highly esteemed traditional ruler assured that Uvwie was a home for law-abiding non indigenes
However, he strongly advised indigenes and non-indigenes that are fomenting trouble to relocate elsewhere or they will be made to face the wrath of the law.
The event featured praise and worship as well as intercessory prayers for the traditional ruler, Uvwie Kingdom. Delta State, Nigeria, the forthcoming general elections, among others.
