The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Week Nine match between Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin and Enyimba International Football Club of Aba has been rescheduled to hold on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Kick off time is 4pm.

The star match, originally scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 18, 2023, was moved forward by a day by the league management body, the IMC, due to the commercial interest of the Nigeria Premier Football League as contained in the IMC notification letter to the management of Bendel Insurance FC.

The table toppers clash which is scheduled to hold at the remodelled Samuel Ogbemudia stadium is being given special attention with NTA live broadcast.

Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance FC star midfielder, Divine Nwachukwu, and goal machine, Imade Osarenkhoe, have expressed confidence that the Benin Arsenals have enough weapons to gun down the People’s Elephants in Benin on Sunday.

The two Arsenals who spoke with journalists separately on the Sunday’s big match said that, the present Bendel Insurance FC team is well bonded, organized and united enough to continue in their fine form.

According to Divine Nwachukwu: “We are not afraid of Enyimba International and any other team in the NPFL. Remember we met them twice in 2019 when we gained promotion that year and the results showed that we were rivals after barren draws both in Benin and the return leg in Aba.

“We met again in the NPFL-Dozzy Preseason Tournament last year where they narrowly escaped with 4-3 win over us.

“We call on our fans and supporters to come out enmass to cheer us to victory against our toughest challengers. They are a big team, highly experienced but we are going to beat them.” He enthused.

The Benin Arsenals hitman, Imade Osarenkhoe, on his part also expressed the confidence that his team will triumph over the two time CAF Champions. He added that Insurance FC is capable of beating Enyimba whether in Benin or Aba, saying that whether he scores or not, Insurance is going to carry the day and extend their leadership in group A with seven points, going into midseason break.

Bendel Insurance FC have been in spectacular form since return to the Premier League this season, having won six games, drawing two to remain unbeaten after eight matches so far.

The Benin Arsenals currently occupy top position in the group A of the abridged league with 20 points while Enyimba International on the other hand occupy the second position with 16 points after same number of matches.
