Edo State Government has commenced the recruitment examination into the Edo State Primary Health Care Development Agency to fill the vacant positions in the agency to further strengthen the primary healthcare system in the state.

The exercise, which was a computer-based test, as an alternative to using the pen-paper strategy, was conducted at the Edo State Civil Service Secretariate Block-D on Tuesday, April 11th, 2023.

Speaking to journalists, the Executive Secretary of Edo State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Omosigho Izedonmwen, noted that the assessment which was slated in batches would continue till Friday 14th of April to ensure that every applicant participated in the CBT without bias.

Dr. Izedonmwen emphasized that the CBT was slated for different categories of employees which are; medical doctors, nurses/midwives, community health extension workers, medical records technicians, pharmacy technicians, medical laboratory technicians, health attendants, and security officers.

He further added that there would be a subsequent recruitment exercise to fill every vacant position in the agency.

He also reiterated that Edo State Government is committed to achieving a well-equipped and functional primary healthcare center across the state with proper staffing for optimal use; hence the recruitment.

According to Onariase Edith, one of the applicants who spoke to journalists attested that the recruitment process had been encouraging all through without bias beginning from the online application to the CBT.

Edith expressed her gratitude to Edo State Government for the opportunity given to her and other job seekers to be employed in the state public service.

In the same vein, Precious who is also an applicant thanked the state government for the rare opportunity and prayed to be employed at the end of the recruitment process.
