The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says that the country recorded five new COVID-19 infections between February and March this year.

The NDDC says the fresh cases occurred in Lagos and Rivers states.

Rivers State accounted for four cases and Lagos had one case, the body reported.

This new development brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Nigeria to 266,665.

Of these, 259,951 cases have been discharged and 3,155 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory the NCDC stated.
