Max Air has announced that it would be sending its Boeing 747-400 aircraft to evacuate 560 Nigerians who fled from the crisis-stricken Sudan and are now in Egypt.

The airline reaffirms its commitment to the safety and well-being of Nigerians, and is always ready to go anywhere to bring Nigerians back home.

The first batch of Nigerian evacuees from the war-torn Sudan arrived the country on Thursday.

In a statement that was posted its verified Twitter handle, management of Max Air said as Nigerian airline, Max Air must do all that it can to help fellow citizens in times of crisis.

“Our mission has always been to connect Nigerians to their loved ones, and we will continue to do so even in the most challenging times,” the management said.

“Nigeria would always be our home, and no matter how terribly things may be, we would always find our way back. As Nigerians, we should all try to be more patriotic and help build a better Nigeria of our dreams,” the statement added.

It sympathised with the people of Sudan who are facing a challenging time; and prayed for peace, stability, and prosperity for all Sudanese people.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our fellow citizens, and we remain committed to delivering the best possible service to all Nigerians,” it added.
