A non-governmental organization also known as The Mid-Westerners has described the Okowa-led administration as a living legend of political engineering in Delta State.

In a press release made available to journalists by the said organisation led by the Chairman Hon. Iwemdi Nwaham, Vice Chairman Prof. David T. Ejenobo, Secretary Hon. Fidelis Chimokwu and Hon. Kenneth Okwuenu (member), the group said that on Okowa’s assumption of office in 2015, the All Progressive Congress Party APC took over the reigns of government at the federal level, and met a state battling with multifarious economic challenges, least of which was the drastic drop in revenue accruing from crude oil export at the national level.

The release went further that the Okowa-led administration took the state out of its dilemma and came up with his Smart Agenda.

On education development, the group added that Okowa has touched the whole gamut of educational sphere of the state, from basic and primary education to tertiary institutions.

On road network, the Okowa-led administration has tarred more than 2,000 Kilometres of road and constructed 1400 kilometres of drainage channels.

The report maintained that the infrastructural development the Okowa government put in place has block financial leakages, flushing out ghost workers and repositioned the civil service for effective and efficient service delivery.

The group said that, the seven-star secretariat built and equipped at the cost of N18 billion and the world class Stephen Keshi International Stadium which have been accredited by FIFA as one of the best in Africa in addition to the renovated, rehabilitated and upgraded Asaba International Airport.

The group added that the Okowa government has invested billions of naira to construct massive underground water tunnel/storm drains to transport and empty erosion water into the River Niger from strategic collection point in Okpanam road, inter-BUA and others
