The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ika South Chapter, Comrade Christian Izegede, has commended the Managing Director of Ebeano Supermarket, Mr. Sunday Egede, for sponsoring over 100 youths in skill acquisition programmes in Ika.

Comrade Izegede gave the commendation in a chat with newsmen after visiting the skill acquisition training centre at St Columbus Grammar School, Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.

He described the gesture as a positive and strategic project “at this point in the history of our locality which will lead to the overall growth of the people”.

“We want to appreciate our brother for his contributions towards the well-being of Ika youths over the years,” Izegede said.

“Mr. Egede has concentrated on the development of the Nigerian youths through skill acquisition which is geared towards improving not only the lives of the beneficiaries, but also the country in general,” he stated.

The youth leader urged the participants to see the opportunity as a lifetime opportunity and tap into it with commitment.

“As the apex youth body, we are here to encourage all of you to constitute a higher level of commitment in ensuring that your benefactor’s corporate social responsibility does not end with you.

“Today, Ika South is privileged to host this training, and it is a good thing that we have youths who are here taking advantage of this laudable programme,” he added.

Some of the trainings at the centre include Domestic Electrical Installation, Plumbing and Pipes Fitting Installation, Carpentry and Cabinet Making, Masonry and Tiles Installation, Steelworks, Welding and Fabrication.
