Barely 18 days to his swearing-in as Nigeria’s President, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu has travelled out of Nigeria again, with reports claiming that he has gone to Europe to meet with potential investors.

Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahman, who announced this in a statement on Wednesday, said the President-Elect is also expected to use the travel to do final preparations for his inauguration on May 29.

This is the second time Tinubu has travelled out of Nigeria since he was declared winner of the widely contested presidential election in February this year.

Tinubu departed the country en route Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Wednesday afternoon.

Rahman said Tinubu will use the opportunity of the trip to “finetune the transition plans and programmes, and his policy options with some of his key aides without unnecessary pressures and distractions”.

The president-elect is also expected to hold meetings with investors while in Europe, he said.
