There have been reports of gunshots at Ekpan in Uwvie Local Government Area of Delta State over youth leadership in Udumowhori.
It was gather that the desired choice of the people, one Alama, had died after which the youths in the community decided to nominate another person as their choice who the leaders appeared to have rejected to contest for a free and fair election.
A youth from the Udumowhori Quarters, who pleaded anonymity, stated that there were more to their election problems than the eyes could see.
“Some of our elders are supporting the present leadership in flaming up youth restiveness in our community. We want a free and fair election, that is all,” he added.
Attempts to reach the incumbent leader in the community proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.
Reports maintained that, though, the shoot out lasted a while, there were no reports of casualties.
