Orhuwhorun Community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State has sworn in new executives to pilot the affairs of the community in the next three years.

The election took place at the palace of the monarch of Orhuwhorun Community, Ighowho Takerere Okaka 1, the Ovie of Orhuwhorun, with many people in attendance.

The newly sworn-in executives were John Uviejitobor as the President General; Cyril Onojeghuo, 1st Vice President General, while Rite Obokor emerged as the 2nd Vice President.

Others were Emuejevwe Oghenvwegba, Secretary; Paris Ughuwhovwo, Assistant Secretary; Otiti Daniel, Treasurer; Okolosi Francis, Financial Secretary, and John Jaleke, Auditor.

Speaking during the inauguration, the Orhuwhorun monarch charged the new executives to prioritise security for the peaceful development of the community.

The monarch also advised them to operate in line with the policies of the state government and respect constitutional authorities, adding that they should cooperate with the people to build a better Orhuwhorun.

Also addressing the new exco, Hon. Oviejitobor Okagbare, immediate past representative for Udu Constituency at the state House of Assembly, charged them to focus on the environmental challenges faced by the community in recent times.

Responding on behalf of the exco, John Uviejitobor thanked the monarch and the people of Orhuwhorun for their support and promised to attract developmental projects to the community.
