Immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, has urged his successor and other commandants of the Nigerian military to maintain high standard and integrity as heads of the nation’s defence sector.

He expressed confidence that the Nigeria defence structure has been built to the extent that no aggressor can stage war against Nigeria anymore, saying his successor, Major General Chris Musa, is competent to lead the military.

General Irabor made the remarks Friday morning at the pulling-out parade held in his honour at Mogadishu Cantonment in Abuja.

Four former Chiefs of Defence Staff (CDS) and the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, are among those that graced the occasion.
