Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated former Deputy Governor of the state, Prof. Amos Utuama (SAN), as he clocks 76.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Festus Ahon, in Asaba, the governor joined Utuama’s family, friends and political associates in celebrating his remarkable life of service to the state, the academia and the country.

He described Utuama as a “dedicated and committed patriot, astute administrator, teachers’ teacher, legal icon and leader of amiable disposition’’, whose impeccable service, particularly to Delta State and its citizens, would be unforgettable.

“It is with profound joy that on behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I bring very warm felicitations to you as you celebrate 76 wonderful years on earth today,” Oborevwori said.

“Over the years, you served our state and nation passionately and you impacted knowledge as a law teacher, Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice and later as Deputy Governor of our dear state.

“We salute your humility and sagacity and pray that the good Lord will perfect your health and grant you many more years in the service of our state and country.

“I join your family, friends, political associates and well-wishers to thank Almighty God for His continued guidance, protection and provision for you in the past 76 years of a life of forthrightness and amazing patriotism,” he stated.
