The National President of Ijebu Youths Association (IYA) Comrade Okikiola Fayomi has described the reappointment of Mr. Tokunbo Talabi as the Secretary to Ogun State Government as a reward for utmost diligence, loyalty and dedication in pursuit of a greater Ogun State under Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Okikiola said that the reappointment of Mr. Talabi was no doubt another confirmation that a golden fish indeed has no hiding place, saying that the Oru-Ijebu in Ijebu North Local Government-born technocrat and politician has always been an accomplished individual given to excellence and stellar performance.
The youth group gave this commendation in a statement signed by its National President and made available to journalists at Abeokuta, the state capital on Friday.
Okikiola said: “We are so excited at the reappointment of our dear father, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi as the Secretary to Ogun State Government. This is purely a case of a golden fish that has no hiding place. We salute his selflessness and love for humanity which has always been his hallmarks in and out of government.
“We salute Gov Dapo Abiodun’s foresight for this reappointment. We equally salute Mr. Talabi’s support for the youths and readiness to always give us wings to fly. We commend him for his several achievements such as awarding scholarships to over 100 students among other various youth empowerment programmes.
“He is no doubt a round peg in a round hole having worked tirelessly to see to the success of Gov Dapo Abiodun’s first term and his re-election for another term. We commend Gov Abiodun for this bold move and we are of the strong opinion that this second term shall be much more fruitful and lift Ogun to an enviable height.”
